Simulated Forward Dijets in CWNs

Last modified: March 29, 1999

Simulation of dijet events over ATLAS calorimeters (to study calorimeter performance for the Physics TDR) was done by Rashid Mehdiyev at CERN. Events with two back-to-back jets of equal and fixed energy and at fixed pseudo-rapidities were fully simulated with version 98_2 of ATLAS software. Information about these data can be found on the "Calorimeters Scan Jet Production" page.

To study FCAL performance, simulated data were rewritten from ZEBRA banks to column-wise ntuples, keeping information about all GENZ particles and about energy depositions in all cells of FCAL and in cells of HEC and EMEC with |Eta|>2.5.

Each data file contains two CWNs: with run information (CWN no.21) and with event information (CWN no.22). Here is the description of ntuple variables .

Already written CWN-files are available from this WWW-page. They were zipped with gzip command and then sets of files were archived with tar command.

File names: jR.RR_EEEE.cwn.gz, where
R.RR - jet pseudo-rapidity,
EEEE - jet energy.

Statistics: 499 events per pseudo-rapidity/energy.
