Simulation of Pions in ATLAS for the "Physics TDR" (1998)

Simulations of single charged pions in the ATLAS detector were done at MPI in 1998 for the "Physics TDR". They were fulfilled with ATLSIM (corresponded to the version 98_2 of the ATLAS software). ATLSIM was installed at MPI by S.Baranov under AIX and Linux platforms.

Example of macro-command to run simulation can be found in the file: /home/iwsatlas1/kiryunin/atlas98/sim.com

Output ZEBRA-files are kept now (January 2002) on:

File names: pEEEExP.PP.data.gz, where

EEEE - particle energy (for example, 0020 or 1000) or energy and subsequent file name (for example, 050y, 050z - for 500 GeV data)

x - system:

P.PP - particle pseudorapidity (1.80, 2.15, etc.)
